To make Greek chicken, you'll need:

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese for garnish
  • Optional: Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, dried oregano, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is evenly coated with the marinade. Cover the dish or seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, lightly oil it to prevent sticking.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, shaking off any excess, and discard the remaining marinade.
  • Place the chicken breasts on the preheated grill or grill pan. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the chicken breasts.
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Optionally, sprinkle the cooked chicken breasts with crumbled feta cheese and chopped fresh parsley for garnish.
  • Serve the Greek chicken hot with your favorite side dishes, such as Greek salad, roasted vegetables, or rice pilaf.
