To make coleslaw, you'll need the following ingredients:


  • 1/2 head of cabbage, shredded
  • 2 large carrots, grated
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish


  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrots.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey or sugar, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, and toss until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Before serving, give the coleslaw a final toss, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions if desired.
