Deep fried chicken drumstick

By Food E Fare

Ingredients:

  • Chicken drumsticks
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • All-purpose flour (for dredging)
  • Eggs (beaten)
  • Breadcrumbs or seasoned flour (optional)
  • Cooking oil (vegetable oil or canola oil)

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken drumsticks with salt and pepper, or your preferred seasonings.
  2. Set up a dredging station with three shallow bowls: one with all-purpose flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs or seasoned flour (if using).
  3. Dredge each chicken drumstick in the flour, shaking off any excess, then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  4. If desired, coat the drumsticks in breadcrumbs or seasoned flour for extra crispiness.
  5. Heat a deep fryer or a large pot filled with oil to 350-375°F (175-190°C).
  6. Carefully lower the breaded chicken drumsticks into the hot oil, working in batches to avoid overcrowding the fryer.
  7. Fry the drumsticks for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to turn them occasionally for even cooking.
  8. Once the drumsticks are cooked, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  9. Serve the deep-fried chicken drumsticks hot with your favorite dipping sauce or side dishes.
