Garlic fried chicken is a flavorful and crispy dish that combines the richness of fried chicken with the aroma of garlic. Here's a simple recipe to make garlic fried chicken:

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  • Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper according to your taste preferences. You can also add additional spices like paprika or garlic powder for extra flavor.
  • In a shallow dish, beat the eggs and set aside. In another shallow dish, spread out the flour, and in a third shallow dish, spread out the breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each piece of seasoned chicken into the flour, coating it evenly. Shake off any excess flour.
  • Next, dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, ensuring that it is coated on all sides.
  • Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere the breadcrumbs to the chicken.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. You'll need enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan and allow the chicken to fry evenly.
  • Once the oil is hot, carefully place the breaded chicken pieces into the pan, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry the chicken in batches if necessary.
  • Fry the chicken for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Use tongs to flip the chicken pieces halfway through the cooking process to ensure even browning.
  • While the chicken is frying, you can prepare the garlic sauce. In a small saucepan, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Cook the garlic until it is fragrant and lightly golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
  • Once the chicken is cooked through and crispy, remove it from the pan and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  • Drizzle the fried chicken with the garlic sauce or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.
  • Garnish the garlic fried chicken with chopped fresh parsley or green onions if desired, and serve hot with your favorite side dishes like rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.

Enjoy the deliciously crispy and flavorful garlic fried chicken as a main course or appetizer for your next meal! Adjust the seasoning and garlic sauce according to your taste preferences for a dish that's perfect for any occasion.
